Overstrand Municipality • Venue Management System

Purpose

The Venue Bookings Calendar gives Overstrand Municipality staff a real-time view of all venue reservations across municipal facilities. Bookings are grouped by venue per day, making it easy to see occupancy at a glance and quickly identify when venues are still available.

Data Source

Data is loaded directly from the municipal venue reservation API. No login is required — the endpoint is publicly accessible within the network. Only bookings from the current month onwards are shown.

How to Use

Use the navigation arrows or month dropdown to browse months. Filter by Venue to focus on a specific facility. Click any venue badge to see the full booking list for that venue and day, including function type, organisation, contact and reference number. Tick Show Availability to see the next open time slot on any day that already has bookings.

Monthly Calendar View Full grid showing all days with bookings grouped by venue
Venue Filter Filter the calendar to a specific municipal facility
Month Navigation Browse current and future months — current month onwards only
Booking Detail Modal Click any venue badge to view all bookings with time, function, organisation and contact
Availability Indicator Tick Show Availability to see the next open slot — includes a 30-minute cleaning gap after each booking
Fully Booked Flag Days with no remaining time before 23:00 are flagged as Fully Booked
Colour Coding Past = orange, Today = green, Future = venue colour
Today Highlight Current day is visually highlighted with a blue border
